Qualifications of an Attorney
Joseph Shun Mendoza Ravago, Attorney & CPA
Expertise – cost – reputation? What are the factors in choosing a good lawyer?
Joseph Shun Mendoza Ravago, of Chicago says that a good personality mix is a top reason. “I believe when an individual chooses an attorney, the final choice between two equally qualified candidates comes down to personality,” Ravago says.
He added that legal issues can be very intimidating, and clients look for someone they can trust, who not only knows what to do, but who cares for them and their situation. Ravago, who was admitted to the Illinois State Bar in 1998, says that many clients leave his office have at least somewhat regained their peace of mind.
“Many clients claim that after talking to me, they feel relieved about their situation regardless of its complexity,” Ravago said.
Mr. Ravago has double degrees in Accounting and Finance from Indiana University. He also graduated with minors in Spanish and Economics. Ravago then attend Loyola University Chicago School of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 1997. He obtained his CPA in 1995 while in law school.
